Today the Liberal opposition in Ottawa and its leader, Stephane Dion, struck a blow for cleaner coal and a greener Canada. If elected they will introduce a carbon (pollution) tax on energy burners (though not gas at the pump.) If and when enacted the carbon tax will make Canada a leader in combatting climate change. It would seem that Canada is taking a step forward as Bush takes a step backward by pushing for coastal drilling.i
